While warming up for the Omaha North Dual, junior Julia Otto practices drills before the meet starts. "The first meet of the season is always really nerve-racking," Otto said. "But it helps to warm up before it starts so I can adjust to the pool and loosen up before I swim." The team won against Omaha North by one point.

Pemberton said. "I cross train mostly on the weekends but if I felt I had a rough workout that day at practice I will get on my bike to clear my head, so I can be mentally ready for the next practice." The Pembertons consistently bike throughout the year at many different destinations.
