Gretna Shuts Outs Burke
The Gretna Dragons beat the Burke Bulldogs 44-0 in their season opener at Omaha Burke Stadium. The GHS defense shutout the Bulldogs, only allowing 154 total yards. Seniors Tyson Boganowski, Blayke Moore and Joe Roll each scored touchdowns, along with juniors Isaiah Weber and Alex Runge. The Dragons seemed well adjusted to their new offensive line after losing many seniors last spring. In the GHS student section, crowd members cheered enthusiastically while dressed in Hawaiian attire. This week’s match-up will be at home on Friday at 7 p.m. when the Dragons face off against the Omaha Central Eagles.
