School, practices, parents and teachers build up stress like no other in a high schooler’s life. Any time the district offers a break, students soak in every second they can get away from their educational prison to escape to a tropical location or sleep until noon.
My friend and I took the opportunity of spring break to drive up to her mountain home in Colorado. The higher the elevation, the farther away from the stress of learning and cramming information nonstop. I decided to capture the little moments as a reminder that there is no need to stress when you will eventually get a break. Being in an unfamiliar environment, by ourselves, nonetheless, is an unforgettable experience that I never want to forget, and there was an overwhelming sense of peace, so secluded from the rest of the bustling society. These images were taken as an attempt to capture peace in chaos and calm in overstimulation.
