Volleyball Finishes 27-7

Waverly Defeats Dragons in Quarterfinal

Seniors Halle Mason and Lily Zimmerman embrace after a tough three-set loss to Waverly in the State Quarterfinal. This was their final game of their four-year high school careers.

After three sets, Waverly defeated the Dragons during the quarterfinals of State Volleyball in Lincoln on Oct. 5. Pinnacle Bank Arena hosted the matches. Gretna finished 27-7 for the season.

Colin Lingbloom is a sophomore at GHS and this is his first year on the Gretna Media staff. He serves as a reporter. He is interested in journalism because he has a passion for photography and wants to capture all of the sports that GHS offers. He enjoys golfing and camping and is involved in Boy Scouts and broadcasting.
Harlee Boyd
Harlee Boyd, Editor in Chief
Harlee Boyd is a senior at GHS and this is her fourth year with Gretna Media. She serves as Editor in Chief. She is interested in journalism because she likes to discover things about people, GHS and the community, then share what she learned with other people by writing a story. Last year she placed 1st at the NSAA State Journalism contest in newspaper feature writing, among several other awards. Besides being in journalism she likes to ride her horse and compete in rodeos. She also loves skiing, going shopping and traveling.
