Mary Matya, Managing Editor

Mary Matya is a senior at GHS and is in her second year on The Voice Staff. She serves as the Managing Editor. She is involved in journalism because she wants coverage of the whole school and not just the popular sports. She likes to write In-depth, Op-Ed, and News stories. Outside of journalism, she is involved in swimming, band, and speech team.

Lauren Anderson (20) and Hilary Vaughn (20) competed in Extemporaneous Health Poster. “In that competition, we chose any medical profession that we wanted, we chose anesthesiology, and created a poster and gave a speech on it,” Anderson said. This was done at one of the competitions.

Jan Werner went to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. “I liked the tigers the best,” Werner said. Kiel has a zoo but is not a big as the Henry Doorly Zoo.
