Dragons Defeat Mustangs to Earn Class A State Title

The Gretna Dragons finished an undefeated season with a 38-0 record on Oct. 21. In the Class A championship, senior Alexis Jensen hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning to end the game 8-0 over Millard North.

Sarah Kula, Editor in Chief
Sarah Kula is a junior at GHS and this is her second year on the Gretna Media staff. She serves as Editor in Chief. She is interested in journalism because it sounded interesting in middle school and she thought photography would be interesting. Last year, she got eighth place in feature photography at NSAA State Journalism, an honorable mention in sports news writing in the JEA Nebraska Winter contest and third in sports writing from the UNO Media Conference. Besides being in journalism she enjoys playing basketball and tennis as well as being a manager for the football team. Outside of school she is involved in her church's youth group and FCA. She also loves to bake and hangout with her friends.

Kierstin Gay is a senior at GHS and this is her third year with The Dragon. She serves as the yearbook Editor in Chief. Her favorite sports to take pictures of are baseball and football. Outside of school, she spends her time hanging out with friends or working at Metro Stars Papio.
