Sixth-ranked Gretna East defeated fifth-ranked Dragons on the volleyball court 3-1 on Oct. 15 at the Gretna High gym. The Griffins won the first, second and fourth sets. The scores were 25-18, 25-20, 13-25, 25-17.

The Dragons will play Blair at home on Thursday.

She is interested in journalism because she wants to get more involved in the school. She also hopes to write more opinion and sports pieces. Outside of school she participates in powerlifting and softball. A few fun facts about her is that she loves dogs and tacos are her favorite food.
