First-Times: With Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoffs victory in the Georgia Senate runoff election, many first-time accomplishments were made. Warnock became the first black senator from the state of Georgia. Ossoff, 33 years-old, is the youngest senator elected and the first democratic senator in Georgia since  1996.

Brand-New Challenge: Bringing the ball up, Landon Pokorski (24) played his first high school game with a large responsibility. “It is a whole other level, Pokorski said. It is just a whole different type of game with the athleticism and competition: everyone is a lot bigger, but you just have to slow yourself down and be ready for it all.” Pokorski did not seemed phased by the uptick in speed, finishing the game with just one turnover.

Secure the Catch: After intially sending the field goal team on the field, head coach Mr. Mike Kayl decides to go for it on fourth and goal. I tracked the ball through the air and came down with it for the touchdown, senior Trevor Marshall said. The score pushed the Dragons lead to 13 points over Lincoln High.
